ARC Motorsports, Inc, was formed in 1982 by Mark Calvert and was named after his father, Alvin Raymond Calvert, the first member of the Calvert family to race.  It was initially formed to be a retailer of parts and accessories for racing go-karts as well as overseeing the family racing operation.    We quickly learned that we were not prepared to enter the retail market, and the company focused on our racing operations only.  As the years passed we eventually moved from go-karts to racing circle track cars.  We found ourselves not only building all our own equipment, but found ourselves building for others as well.  In 2002 we decided to once again expand our focus and become a full service engine machine shop and started purchasing the various machines to recondition / modify any engine component.  Without question our love of racing and competition has driven most of what we do, but brings the added bonus of our dedication to precision to even non-performance applications.
